Research in Germany & Denmark

When planning for research in Germany and Denmark, be sure to know where you are going. For the early modern period, most of the sources useful for you will likely be in the regional archives and major libraries, not in the federal repositories. As with American and British research locations, the archives of Germany and Denmark have useful websites for your preparation, but be prepared for a very uneven description from site to site. The list of resources below represents some but not all of the major archives and libraries that may be of use.
